About Me

I'm a software developer located in Broomfield, Colorado. I work for Microsoft building cross-platform development tools.

I first learned to program with BASIC on a TRS-80 in elementary school, moving on to C and C++ in high school. I went to college at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where I majored in computer science. When I finished, I moved to Colorado where I worked for nearly a decade as a consultant and software developer. Eventually I got tired of the consulting game and decided to strike out on my own. I worked independently building custom applications for a few years before taking a job at Xamarin, which turned into my current position at Microsoft.

Since I started writing software professionally, I've worked in Windows, Linux, and Mac environments on web applications, web services, desktop applications, web front-ends, web control libraries, services, low-level hardware communications, large database migrations, Office plug-ins, and mobile applications for PDAs and smartphones. In other words, I've got a wide range of experience and I learn very quickly.

I'm also a self-defense and fitness instructor at Colorado Krav Maga.
